Prejudice and hatred in our culture - at this time in our history - is aimed at conservative Americans.
Would love to see the story of a young white traditional American girl as she’s abused and mocked by her teachers, professors, and Hollywood inspired culture. That would be much closer to truth.
Amani Al-Khatahtbeh unwittingly upholding the prejudices and hatreds of white liberal elites toward traditional Americans. She brings comfort to elites’ opinions of themselves. Seems like a nice person - as so many young people are...
Thx for the play by play
We will return to the FNC 6pm hour if any of those ladies takes over. Megan made the show about her...that’s not news in our world
Am I missing something. Don’t you work at Auburn? I thought all AU guys would never root for Alabama.
Re: your tag line, perendinate, had to look that one up.
EXCELLENT!
All depends on how you spend your time.
Are you on the Pacific coast? Meghan was 9:00pm eastern likely 6:00pm on the pacific coast.
I believe they also told George W. Bush, Colin Powell, and assorted members of the House and Senate in early 2002 that finding Saddam's Weapons of Mass Destruction would be, quote, a "Slam Dunk", if I'm not mistaken. AND, too clueless to note that for the next year until April of 2003, being hurriedly shipped out of the country...
No, she’s not. She’s well past her sell-by-date.
That was last Fall, when she was found with her hand in the CNN debate question cookie jar.
Great post!
I was stationed at the Pentagon the summer of 1990. I can tell you, we knew, and by the end of July, there were some exceedlingly long faces, especially in the higher-ups. Generals and Admirals, Colonels and Captains almost too glum to even snap a salute on the way to and from the parking lots. Like a bunch of people going to a funeral...
I wasn’t too worried, I was a Master Sergeant and wasn’t worried about my career opportunities!
Anyway, then Saddam invaded Kuwait on August 2nd.
I’ve never seen such a transformation in such short a time. By the next day, a Friday, the place was hopping like a toad on a Texas sidewalk in July!
I jokingly referred to this early period before Desert Shield as “Operation Save My Job”.
Excellent Point!
And the idea that the press would be right there, following the President of the United States and "reporting" on the whims and words of the great leader, with their own pecking order and offices in the White House, is an invention of Franklin Roosevelt which was used as propaganda for the war on conservatism.
Before that, many presidents didn't put up with such nonsense. Coolidge had no White House press corps, and neither did any president have any such thing until Theodore Roosevelt. Lincoln kept a bench outside the Lincoln bedroom (which at the time was his office, the Oval Office and West Wing wasn't added until 1901) for citizens to sit out side waiting to see him. Just regular people sometimes! John Hays, his secretary, would fetch the folks lemonade in the summertime.
No, the modern White House press corps is a 20th Century invention, and here we are in the 21st Century. Time to go the way of the buggy whip and powdered wig!
You’re the first to mention it!
I did that several years ago, but I was scolded by some FReepers.
I couldn’t help myself this time, and only changed a couple. I was WANTING to change ALL of them!
Or someone who is still drinking from the night before.
Schiff a patriot? Give me a break!
I dunno.
I did think Trump had a much better chance at shaking things up and beating Hillary then any of the others.
I didn’t think Cruz was that bad.
Now some Cruz supporters here... Well, to quote Trump. “Bad. Terrible. Just terrible persons.”
LOL good one!Seems most dems do have a “sell by date” since they rot so easily!LOL!
Well, I’m semi-retired from Auburn. I’m actually willing to teach a class or two but so far, nothing’s come up.
I promise will say “War Eagle” every pay day!
Pat - your posts are always a great read. Keep ‘em coming.
And Happy New Year to all Freepers.
Oh, and let me say, seriously, I do like AU football. I love to see them win.
BUT... Right now, UA is golden and “represents” the state of Alabama. Auburn will get their chance again, but, IMHO, not as long as Saban’s coaching.
There are actually quite a few of us who root for both, even though we’re animals to each other during the Iron Bowl.
Er, Roll Eagle!
Yes...Oregon
