Roll Tide! Alabama crushed the Washington Huskies, 24-7, in the 2016 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, college football playoff game at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta on Dec. 31st. Keep reading for all the details on this epic matchup!
What an amazing game! Alabama, the reigning National and SEC champions, defeated a strong Washington Huskies team 24-7 in the Peach Bowl. Washington jumped out to an early 7-0 lead in the first quarter but then the Crimson Tide, led by young quarterback Jalen Hurts, 18, came roaring back and controlled the rest of the game. Alabama will now return to the National Championship game on Jan. 9, 2017, against the winner of Fiesta Bowl, which features Clemson versus Ohio State.
Turnovers and defense made the difference in this wild battle. Washingtons QB Jake Browning, 20, the sophomore from Folsom, California connected early with his receiver Dante Pettis, 20, for a touchdown but then the Huskies struggled to get anything going after the first quarter. A fumble followed by an interception returned for a touchdown demoralized the overmatched Washington team. The second half of the game continued to be all Bama.
The Tide wore down Washingtons defense from every angle. On the ground and in the air Alabama proved to the Washington fans why they are the reigning champions and why they deserve a seat at the big title game on Jan. 9th

The Trick now is to get more than 1 first down.
Washington’s defense played well. I was baffled by Kiffin’s play calling. But I am baffled every game by it. When I saw the Washington offense, I knew the Bama would eat them alive IF they did their jobs. They are so good because they are smart. They are intelligent. With a few exceptions, they are real college students. I do sometimes judge a book by its cover and have misjudged quite a few Bama players over the years. But the really good Bama players this year are the real deal as far as student athletes go. (I am not sure about Bo Scarbrough. Heh. Tonight was the first time I have heard him speak. He has had issues with grades. And he has not been given a star role.)
Alabama is number four in terms of the graduation rate for its football team. Washington is not even ranked in the top 25. Roll Tide!
You’re another typical dumbass she doesn’t know anything about the academics at the University of Alabama. Yes they have a great football team, but they have a great school. By the way roll Tide!
Kiffin is his own worst enemy calling plays. When something is working well it does not faze him in the least and he will get too cute and drives stall.
They should have run it far more today, but Kiffin loves the passing game and the razzle dazzle.
Here's what a GOOD SPORT Washington Huskies fan just said on MSN Sports:

Congratulations to Alabama. The Seattle Times ran an article earlier in the week suggesting that this year's Alabama team might be the greatest college team ever. I will let the pundits and the fans debate that point but there's no question that they are a splendid well coached team. As a UW grad and a season ticket holder to the Husky home football games, I am proud of the Dawgs and what they have accomplished this year. Coach Pete is the real deal and he has turned the Husky program around. I fully anticipate that the Huskies will be a dominant team in the Pac12 in the years ahead and a team to reckon with nationally. Go Dawgs!
I agree with him about the Dawgs. Had Alabama lost, I still would have respected the UW program.
They will graduate you just for showing up . . . and maybe not even that.
Alabama = corrupt, sleazy, fake.
Not strange at all. I root for every SEC team to beat any other team, especially those from another conference, as long as they are not playing the
LLLLSSSSUUUU TIGARS!! Hold That Tiger, Hold That Tiger, Hold That Tiger, etc.
I remember the old “Chinese Bandits” of LSU fame....
You sure turned out to be a real low-life POS!
I sure remember them. When I was playing football in the 5th grade, our coach named out team the “Chinese Bandits”. I had no idea what he was talking about at the time.
I think it was Paul Dietzel who came up with the name.
Yep, you are right...Paul Dietzel...
I think they were the kickoff team...All walkons, I believe....
If I remember, they were second stringers on defense who played so tenaciously that the team did not really suffer when they were in.
Washington jumped out to an early 7-0 lead in the first quarter but then the Crimson Tide, led by young quarterback Jalen Hurts, 18, came roaring back and controlled the rest of the game.
...
Well, they were led by their defense and running game, but that’s a minor technicality.
I said Scarbrough had grade issues, but I must have confused him with someone else. He has been plagued with injuries and is finally healthy. He sounds like a sweet and selfless player.
If you want to know the character of this Bama team, read Eddie Jackson’s letter to the team.
Screw Bama
I’ll be glad when Satan retires
