Even The Huffington Post cannot let the down-ballot gutting of the Democrats go unnoticed. Senior politics editor Sam Stein was on MSNBC’s Morning Joe Wednesday, where he said that while Obama was re-elected twice proving himself to be an excellent candidate—his party has suffered catastrophic losses during his presidency. In all, the Democrats have lost 1,030 seats at the state and federal level, a wipeout of at least a generation of Democratic talent. Stein added that with such a political butcher’s bill, you have to ask whether this man was good for Democrats (via The Hill):

Your right. They really were for Obama’s programs but they should never have looked so eager to support him.

He was relentless in his work to degrade and delegitimize America economically, politically, culturally, diplomatically, while legitimizing and aiding both foreign and domestic actors and governments to the detriment of American and the rest of the civilized world.
His wholesale destruction was so bad for the country that even many in the traditional Democrat constituencies were appalled and scared to death of what he and the Democrats were doing - so much so that they realized Democrats could not be trusted to run the country.

This is the MSM’s fault. They destroyed the Democrat party by supporting candidates and writing stories which went against the fabric of American exceptionalism.
They operated as if they could change reality with mere words and definitional changes.
Reality finally bit them.
And, they wonder why we want Obama to hang around Washington after he’s out...
They are lucky that they aren't being hunted down and slaughtered like animals. Had they kept going in the direction they chose with Obama, their future would have been nasty, brutish, and short.
I do not think these fools had any idea regarding the forces they had been tampering with.
Under Obama the Democrats lost over 1000 seats in federal and state governments.

Obama has done extensive damage to our nation - with the full support of his pathetic marxist party. His party should be damned.
I’m obviously not an Obama fan but I think the Dems decline is based on their identity politics policy. First Black President, first Woman President etc. If HRC had been successful their next gimmick President could have been first Latino, first Muslim, first Gay, first Socialist ad nauseum.

It is a bit of an oversimplification but it boils down to this: broadly speaking, the Dems have trapped themselves into hating their country and being loudly proud of it. 0bama is a symptom of this, not its cause. When the official party position appears to be that America is inherently racist, misogynist, oppressive, and generally an evil influence both foreign and domestic, but that they can fix it by taking power away from their opponents, then they deserve the thrashing they just got. They've gone negative, resentful, and racist, and 0bama may incorporate all of that - he does - but he didn't start it. And the current crop of Dem party leaders apparently hasn't a clue:
Right now, Democrats don’t seem to be keen on changing their tune; they’ve just picked San Francisco and New York-based liberals (Pelosi and Schumer) to helm the ship in Congress. Democrats can fix this, but I have a feeling they won't anytime soon. We shouldn't be complaining about that.
To be fair, the Republicans have, in the persons of Yeb! Bush, Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, John McCain, etc, etc, responded in precisely the same manner. Trump is an aberration from the national party tendencies toward more of the same. The Uniparty isn't dead, far from it.
Ellison and Obama would be fine with destroying the Dem party’s national viability, as long as they got to rule over what was left.
Much like the RINOs were ok with losing the presidency, as long as their personal power remained intact.
To protect him and build this affirmative action beneficiary up the liberals had to demonize white Americans. The results were obvious.
He is also the greatest gun salesman ever. Americans bought 100 million brand new guns during his socialist reign of error.
