Russian hackers tied to recent cyberattacks on U.S. political organizations breached a Vermont utility, the Washington Post reported Friday.
A code associated with the Russian hacking operation aimed at the U.S. presidential election, which the intelligence community has named “Grizzly Steppe,” was detected within the Vermont system.
The Russians did not disrupt electrical operations, officials told the Post.
According to the Burlington Free Press, the city-owned Burlington Electric was the target of the hack.
Vermont Public Service Commissioner Christopher Recchia said malware was discovered on a laptop that was not connected to the grid's operations.
"The grid is not in danger," Recchia said. "The utility flagged it, saw it, notified appropriate parties and isolated that one laptop with that malware on it. . ."

After 8 years of lies, I believe absolutely NOTHING that comes from Obama’s government or MSM. NOTHING.
They are confusing random detection with targeting.
What makes more sense, they are detecting this malware here because they were targeted? or does it make more sense that they have better computer security so they detected a random malware infection?
There are likely people with their computers compromised in my neighborhood with this same software from these same hackers.
There’s a narrative to support.

The left’s hysterical pushing of this “It was the Russians! Russians are EVIL!” meme can only mean something REALLY bad is on its way and they want to make sure America’s dumbed-down population believes it’s “fake news” generated by those dastardly Russkies.
Even if the Russians hacked Democrat systems, the election is a done deal. DJT can double down O’s feeble sanctions and come out smelling like a rose.
Just read about this on DM and wonder if this is the test run before he pulls down the grids.
He may well do Scorched Earth by the time we reach Jan 20, as many suspected all along.
