McCain is not in the position of developing U.S. foreign policy.
What he is doing here is against the law.
He is not authorized to comment on what the U.S. should do along these lines. It’s very dangerous.
He can, it’s just a dumb approach since sanctions by the Congress are meaningless unless the executive branch enforces the!. All he is doing is making the country weaker. Work with the President on a strategy and let the President sell the strategy.
A Senator cannot be recalled. His colleagues in the Senate can vote to remove him. This is the only constitutional way of removing a Senator (or a Representative for that measure)
Senators have run their mouths idiotically for as long as the Republic has existed.
