PALM BEACH, Fla. -- President-elect Donald Trump is telling visitors to his Florida club that he plans to write his inaugural address himself and is drawing inspiration from Presidents Ronald Reagan and John F. Kennedy.

Okay, that was funny. Needs a “believe me” in there somewhere.
“That’s not who we are.”
:)
Yes he does!
Isn’t the Library an almost spiritual place? For eight years our back yard bordered the Library property. We’d walk up sometimes just to experience the atmosphere. (Walking downhill back home was easier!)

Yes, repayment of unauthorized vacations for the whole damned Obama family. What’s with that? And that mother-in -law getting a permanent retirement???????for granmommying the “girls”?
I asked my fellow conspirator how did Obama save so much money over his 8 years...he said book revenues and royalties. I just laughed knowing that very few people bought his so-called personally written book.
So where did the Obama’s get all that money? More than any other president has ever amassed in the same amount of time?
Inquiring minds want to know.
To one and all, who didn’t know that Reagan wrote a lot of his own material, I got to hear a “BROADCAST” of a fictitious Baseball game. I believe, this was a “try out,” for a Baseball Broadcasting position. It was 6 (six) innings, no stuttering, no “Ahhhh,” very real! Very well called, with a lot of action, forget the score, but kept me tuned in. :-)
Cool pic! Haven’t seen a dog do that in years!
That’s great...
I really had a LOL seizure because I could HEAR Trump in my mind saying that. Best laugh of the day.
Well said, easy to remember!
Just don't get upset if you find you're speaking to a room empty of all but TV cameras.
There’s a place for talk in a campaign. The way to show the campaign is over is to say something like, “Thank you for all your efforts. Go out and party. Tomorrow is a work day.”
Mr. Trump, please do not ask Americans for more sacrifice a la “ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country!”
If you must go there, rephrase it, “ask not from your country free handouts, ask for an end to taxation and regulation!”
More economical: “Get out of my way!” per John Galt.
Best part: Obama will have to sit thru the entire speech.
It’ll be interesting to see if he has the mature NOT to smirk, rub his middle finger against his nose and other adolescent behaviors he loves to engage in.
Love it !
I’m just thinking of others. I have no patience for inaugurations, State of the Union speeches and such events ... survivals of a time when we had no DVDs. I’ll get the highlights on FR the next day.
Any suggestion that someone has an obligation to listen to Mr. Trump is too Fidel Castro to be tolerated.
Sounds like a great speech to me.
Including the singing of the National Anthem (all four verses if you please), the swearing in and the other foofaraw you could probably have the entire thing over in under an hour.
Which, on a cold January day, is plenty long to be standing around outside.
