Read Peter Schweitzer’s books on Reagan and you’ll see what struggles the Pres has with speech writers who feel they have to shape the message.

Reagan wrote a lot of his own stuff. He was one of the first people who wore contacts in the US. He would pop one out before a speech and watch the audience with one eye and read with the other eye.

We’ve already seen more positive ‘action’ out of PEOTUS Trump - before his inauguration - than we have out of ANY elected GOP in at least two decades.
