I feel safer in Paris than in Chicago, New Orleans, and a dozen other home grown sanctuaries.

Yeah, but for how long is the question? It is getting worse by the day in Europe, and they seem powerless to do anything about it which will only embolden them to commit more acts of terror and harassment. But yes, in those cities mentioned it is bad too, bit it also depends a lot on where in the city you go.

That is why I live in the country. 8>)

Same for Paris and other places I visit. I spend at least three months every summer in Europe and haven’t stopped because of some problems here or there. I have never lived my life in fear and won’t let fear govern my actions. I’m not foolish, nor am I a scardy cat. Yes, I love the country too and I love to travel. Some nut jobs are not going to deprive me of enjoying the last years of my life.
