As for the conclusion of U.S. intelligence agencies that Russia almost certainly hacked into political organizations, Trump offered only vague remarks about the “age of computer.”

What a convoluted sentence. “U.S.intelligence agencies” (nameless, vague) “almost certainly hacked into political organizations” (”almost certainly” - vague; “political organizations” - which ones?) And yet “TRUMP offered only vague remarks..”

The keyword is absolutely the “almost” qualifier, as it implies: we think very strongly, but we might be wrong. In other words, there is no proof that conclusively confirms that the Russians hacked the election. So if you are predisposed to want to believe something then you usually are almost certain that your conclusion is a correct one, however, you want to still allow wiggle room if proof surfaces to prove otherwise.
