The title of a December 27 article in The Atlantic asks: Are Climate Scientists Ready for Trump?
How should climate scientists react to a president-elect who calls global warming a hoax?, the writer, Robinson Meyer, asks in the opening sentence. How much should they prepare for his administration? And should they prepare for the worst?
These questions loomed over the fall conference of the American Geophysical Union (AGU) last month, the largest annual gathering of Earth scientists in the world, Meyer continued. How the scientific profession chooses to answer them may decide whether the United States can summon the political will necessary to finally vanquish climate-change denialism or whether it will continue to muddle through on the issue, not really attending to it, as it has for the past three decades.
Meyer uses the term climate-change denial (or denialism or denialist) five times in the article, a pretty strong clue that he resides in the Al Gore/Leonardo DiCaprio camp of intolerance when it comes to diversity of opinion on scientific matters. He notes that there is a divide among the AGU scientists between those who just want to do science and the activists who see this issue as a matter of life and death for the planet. He comes down on the side of the activists, of course, because the Earth really is warming, and the consequences of it really will be bad.
Climate denialists, The Atlantic writer insists, are on the wrong side of scientific consensus, and they have been for 20 years. Scientists should feel happy to call them on their BS.
Meyer notes that on the first day of the AGU conference in San Francisco, the thousands of assembled scientists heard from Harvard historian Naomi Oreskes, the political ideologue who is most responsible for perpetrating the scientific consensus fraud regarding anthropogenic (human caused) global warming, or AGW. (Some idea of Prof. Oreskes psychological/political bent can be seen by her tweet regarding the death of Justice Antonin Scalia: Antonin Scalia found dead Experts say his heart froze (just kidding).)
We have all heard the smug Al Gore line, repeated innumerable times by condescending media scribblers and talking heads, that the science is settled, that 97 percent to 99 percent of climate scientists agree there is a global warming crisis and mans carbon footprint is responsible for it. (Never mind that a few years ago, when it became evident the global temperature data werent showing significant warming, the mantra had to be changed from global warming to climate change.)
Professor Oreskes, together with Australian global warming activist John Cook, will play an important role in the upcoming battle with Trump over the UNs climate pact, which is a radical, job-destroying, economy-destroying, multi-trillion dollar tax-regulate-transfer scheme that would do nothing to improve the environment or stop climate change.
President Barack Obama was citing John Cook when he tweeted on May 16, 2013: Ninety-seven percent of scientists agree: #climate change is real, man-made and dangerous.
The New American has repeatedly reported on the fraudulent methodology used by Oreskes and Cook to arrive at their ludicrous near-unanimous consensus claims. Prof. Richard S. J. Tol and Dr. Benny Peiser are but two of the experts who have called out Oreskes and Cook, showing that only one percent of climate research papers not 97 percent support the consensus view claimed by the AGW alarmists. (See here, here, and here.)
Cooks most damning exposé, though, was self-inflicted. In a series of e-mails, he let the cat out of the bag that, far from being a dispassionate scientific undertaking, his tabulation effort, called The Consensus Project (TCP), was actually a marketing and propaganda scheme calculated to convince the public that a non-existent consensus among scientists did in fact exist.
However, no amount of debunking, and no amount of evidence, will change the crisis mindset that grips many of the media commentators. CNNs Chris Cuomo is a prime example of the arrogance of ignorance among the committed AGW mediameisters. In a combative interview on December 12, CNNs Chris Cuomo went after Trump adviser Anthony Scaramucci, repeatedly citing the false claim that the science is settled and that science has declared we must accept vast new global governance and controls to avert planetary catastrophe.

Unfortunately, the Trump spokesman did not challenge Cuomos bogus consensus assertions, but merely argued that scientific consensus has often been wrong in the past. This is true, but as an argument it fails terribly by allowing the AGW alarmists to coopt science and make it appear that only a few crackpot deniers and scientists in the pay of Big Oil disagree with the alarmist CO2 thesis. Since so many of the frightful scenarios in the global-warming scare campaign involve complex geophysical and chemical processes, as well as data gathering and measuring beyond the grasp of most of us mere mortals, there is a tendency of many laymen to lean in favor of science if the claims of overwhelming consensus are true. In the case of anthropogenic global warming, the consensus claims very definitely are not true. But that wont stop AGW alarmism banshees from shrieking their fake news consensus even louder, in the days and weeks ahead.
CNNs Chris Cuomo and other AGW alarmists are expressing hope that Donald Trumps daughter Ivanka may be able to moderate her father on this issue, especially if she were to be named his Climate Czar, as some hope (and others fear). Ivanka, reportedly, is more sympathetic to the UN/Al Gore alarmist position than is the president-elect.
After fighting for over two decades against overwhelming odds to fend off the would-be AGW planet controllers, it would be a terrible betrayal for a Trump administration to flip-flop or melt down on this crucial issue. The new administration must move quickly and decisively to dismantle and defund the huge federally-funded AGW lobby and withdraw all U.S. support for the UNs destructive Paris Agreement, which President Obama has illegally tried to bind the United States to through executive agreement. Under the guise of "protecting the environment," President Obama has over and over again usurped the legislative authority that the Constitution expressly and exclusively grants to Congress. President Trump can, and should, make canceling/rescinding these executive orders of President Obama as well as hundreds of executive orders of Republican and Democratic presidents going back decades a top priority. The incoming Trump administration must not allow the fake news of AGW "scientific consensus" to derail it from this crucially important commitment.

Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States. Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]. United States v. Butler, 1936.
Patriots need to support Trump in draining the corrupt federal swamp.
If science was about consensus and not questioning and challenging accepted knowledge, Einstein would never have challenged Newton and there would be no theory of relativity.
I like Ben Shapiro’s response to these morons:
Paraphrasing: “OK, you’re right. So, how do we fix it? Let me guess, raise taxes and take everybody’s cars away, right?”

Oh, but I, angryoldfatman, have the absolutely, positively sure way to reduce carbon emissions and still maintain the level of civilization we have today.
Nuclear power.
All we have to do is build nuclear power plants in every state where the majority thinks we have a big carbon emissions problem (read: blue states), and TADAAA! problem solved.
What’s that you say, blue states? You don’t want those nuke plants? I guess CLIMATE CHANGE isn’t as big a deal as you say it is then.
NOAA = Fake Science!NOAA Temperature Adjustments Correlate Exactly with the Rise in CO2 - Big Surprise
Thermometers show the US cooling since about 1920, but NOAA massively cools the past to create the appearance of a warming trend. These adjustments make a spectacular hockey stick of data tampering. When plotted against atmospheric CO2, the correlation is almost perfect. NOAA is tampering with the data exactly to match their theory.

NOAA Fiddles With Climate Data To Erase The 15-Year Global Warming Hiatus 6/4/2015
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration scientists have found a solution to the 15-year pause in global warming: They adjusted the hiatus in warming out of the temperature record. New climate data by NOAA scientists doubles the warming trend since the late 1990s by adjusting pre-hiatus temperatures downward and inflating temperatures in more recent years.
Your repeated post on the tenth amendment prove that an Article five convention is a waste of time because they ignore the current Constitution whenever it suits their purpose. A few more rules won’t deter them.
I suspect its more that theyve never been taught the feds constitutionally limited powers, probably indoctrinated to unthinkingly rely on the feds for everything.
Patriots need to work with Trump to get these low-information citizens up to speed with the feds constitutionally limited powers.
You think Congressman do not know they have to have a budget? Yet we didn't have one since Obama took office. No one knows where the money was spent because there was no budget or accountability.
