I lived in Jamaica Plain for 8 years — heavily “women in comfortable footwear” area of Boston. My hubby (then fiance) and I often got looks of disapproval from the ladies (but the rent was cheap, so... eff em, said I.)
Not surprised with this. They were twits then, no reason why they should have changed. It was awful living there during the 2000 election and post 9/11.
