Christmas weekend in Chicago has already seen more gun violence than it did during the entire Christmas weekend last year.
Nine men were killed and at least 24 other people have been wounded in shootings across the city since Friday evening, according to Chicago Police.
Last year, a total of 30 people were shot in Chicago over the holiday weekend, leaving six dead.

Believing in false truths
Somewhat off topic, but the murder rate/shooting rate per capita is likely much higher than prior years. The black.population of Chicago has declined over the past 10 years or so.
I heard that blacks aren’t just moving from Chicago to safer suburban towns, but are leaving Illinois for better economic opportunities in other states.
Then sadly, the black population left behind has a bigger concentration of gang types. And those law abiding citizens left behind are more likely to be victims of violent crime.
I sure wish we didn’t have so many elephants in rooms. The issue of black on black crime,black youth gangs,etc. Is rarely talked about openly.
But on the other hand, the statistically rare black victims of police shootings suck all the oxygen out of the room.
Many of the blacks who have departed Chicago, did not necessarily do so voluntarily.
They have been given Section 8 Vouchers that are location-specific.
In part, this is due to the Obama Regime’s plan to spread lower-class blacks into neighborhoods across the country.
Ironically, in order to qualify for the vouchers, the relocatees have to be as law-abiding as possible; which means that the worst of the worst are stuck in Chicago.
Go baby go! 800 in reach.

I don’t think it appropriate to take any joy in this. It is a stain on our nation and one that our President-Elect has promised to address.
He has his work cut out for him and I wish him the best.

a good weekend for marksmanship in the hood. 9 kills out of 33 total casualties is much better than their usual 4 or 5 out of 45 or 50.

We can say enough is enough. If they don’t like what we say we need to tell them in no uncertain terms that they need to fix it. The answer has never been more money..... the answer only lies in telling the truth about the situation.
These are wards of the state (our state) senselessly killing one another. It’s time for tough love and damn what the left says about it or accuses us of. I am sick of this and I am very well acquainted with it. So much wasted potential and our tax dollars fund it all. Enough is enough.

There are very few Police in my neighborhood because they’ve been drained to the west and South side. My dear friend crime has increased ten fold in my once peaceful neighborhood.

I spent many years policing public housing units so I get it. It still pisses me off to this day because there are a lot of children we are writing off. The facts are clear - leftists policies have coddled a failed culture and they have made you and me pay for it. The facts are also clear that we are condemning the children who still have a chance because we are afraid to speak up.
It’s time for change in the inner-city and if the power brokers in the hood don’t like it that is too damned bad. It’s time for the adults to fix this because it is unacceptable and we have invested enough with the crooks who run it. It’s about what is right - not race.
If it were up to me there would be a lot of different policies and aggressive policing and incarceration going on along with a cessation of benefits to those promoting the problem. Just my .02 and you have a stronger stomach than me to live there. It is bad enough watching it from afar. I get the dark humor as a way to cope, but it is not the answer for the children who are stuck there.
Short of miraculously finding another Mayor Rudy for Chicago and even more miraculously - having the “community leaders” support it the only answer would be to cut funding and I would not want to live there when that happens.
