A German politician is facing calls to resign over allegations that he prevented police from sharing pictures of the Berlin truck terrorist when he was at large. Reports in Germany claim that Till Steffen prevented law enforcers in Hamburg from releasing pictures of Anis Amri, despite him being the most wanted man in the world after Monday's terror attack. Amri, 24, was named as a suspect on Wednesday after his wallet was found in the lorry which ploughed into a crowd of people at a Berlin Christmas market, killing 12 people.

Unfortunately, Hitler is the reason why Germans are the way they are now. If they start talking about protecting their people and country, they’re going to be accused of Nazism. Never mind the fact that Hitler both allied with and admired the Islamists.
The perp was apparently already on some sort of German Watch List. Putting Jihadis on a “Watch List” where they are just ID’d and not actually watching them 24/7 is bureaucratic nonsense. If the popo are after him, not releasing the pics is near treason. The popos are really there to respond, it takes all to help them find and take out the bad guys. The Italians had to do Merkel’s work of taking out the trash.

I can understand that the Germans would be reluctant to identify the suspect after holding the wrong man as the prime suspect in the same incident. The last thing people need is an emotional posse mentality that is blind with rage and just looking for vengeance.

No, not ever. Leftists do not resign. obama had reason to resign and/or impeached. Never happened did it? And if Europes version of Hitlery ever loses power, their left will whine, cry and disrupt just like our left.
Got to be humiliating that the Anis made it all the way to Italy, in part bc of no pix and some pix with identifying eyes blurred or blocked.
Sounds to me like Germans could develop some self-protection qualities, instead of always looking for Big Brother to protect them. That was what brought a Hitler to power in the first place.
Never under estimate the left’s ability to leverage guilt to divide and destroy nations.
He wasn’t just on a watch list. German security had enough on him to deport him, but the bureaucrats said they were missing a few pieces of paper, so they released him. This is a guy who had already spent 4 years in an Italian prison for arson and had tried to buy automatic rifles.
This lays directly at the feet of Merkel and her minions.
