How bout Congress get the heck out of the way and stop trying to play nanny to everyone.
I guess there probably would be someone out in the world that my think it’s milk, but I’m willing to bet dime to a donut, majority of people know that it’s not real milk, but a milk substitute.
Nanny state politicians....the reason our country is in the shape that it is today.

Someone needs to introduce these congressional dopes to the English language. For example, Merriam-Webster defines the noun "milk" as:
1: a fluid secreted by the mammary glands of females for the nourishment of their young; especially cow's milk used as a food by humans.
2: a liquid resembling milk in appearance...(a) the latex of a plant, (b) the juice of a coconut...and (c) the contents of an unripe kernel of grain.

I don’t understand. I’m pretty sure my soy milk comes from soy cows.

Good to know Congress has nothing better to worry about.

Goat’s milk is milk and it doesn’t come from a cow....

I just did some checking both in The New Dictionary (online) and Funk&Wagnalls Desk Dictionary 1984 (prior to out of control mind control). In both of these sources, the first definition is: the opaque, whitish liquid secreted by the mammary glands of female mammals for the nourishment of their young. The second definition is: any of various liquids resembling this, as the sap of certain plants. Thus "Almond Milk" and "Soy Milk" are accurate and concise definitions.
Now that this very difficult problem has been put aside for our illustrious DC pols, perhaps they can move on to the trivial issues. Like ending terrorism or solving the national debt problem.

it’s about money....as usual.
from article:
“We strongly believe that the use of the term milk by manufacturers of plant-based products is misleading to consumers, harmful to the dairy industry and a violation of milk’s standard of identity, the letter states.
Dairy farmers are struggling with deep cuts in income following a 40% drop in milk prices since 2014, the members of Congress say. The forecast is for prices to remain low. “
