God only knows if The Beach Boys will perform at Donald Trump's inauguration.
The rock band still has not decided if they will perform at the presidential event on Jan. 20, according to People.
A rep for the "God only Knows" musicians — once labeled "America's Band" by former president Ronald Reagan — said the group was definitely asked by Trump to perform at the event, People reported.
However, they haven't made up their minds.

I saw the BB perform maybe 15 years ago. Even back then they were no longer in their prime. Now, I was a big fan of their earlier stuff. In fact “Endless Summer” was the first album I bought. From what I saw/heard even 15 years ago, they should have retired long ago. I hope they decide not to perform, just because I can’t imagine they’ve gotten better.
Most rock groups make their money off of foolish emotionalism and a gotta-have-it-now mentality, so they’ll seldom do us any favors.

Don’t think Mike Love can decide alone. There is a corporate structure of Brian,AL,Mike and Carl’s estate that votes on some issues and that may be the case here. Someone might be putting up opposition

Every entertainer who has been asked to perform and has refused should be forbidden from every government affiliated entertainment for the fullness of the DJT administration. That includes patriotic events, 4th of July veterans events - even the Super Bowl. If the NFL wants American soldiers to use as props for their annual event, the boycotting entertainers can not participate.

I simply would have lost all respect for them if they did it for politics.
Try this: “We are proud Americans and Trump is the new American president. We are flattered to be asked to perform at his inauguration. Of course we accept.”
It’s like an undecided suitor, if they have to think about it they’re not worth it.
I can’t give a link since I don’t remember where I read it but I’m pretty sure they are under contract in Europe.
These responses by entertainers is just amazing. These folks behave as if Trump was installed by space aliens. They forget that he received the most electoral votes. The only reason he did not receive most popular votes is the large number of illegal (duplicate) votes and that most in California voted for hiLIARy. America and Americans do not matter to these folks
They have a great opportunity to boost themselves over the next several years.
There's more than 50% of the nation that still appreciates their music.

We have seen them several times, and they have always put on an excellent show. Amazing that they do that much touring at their age!
