Obviously you missed the part about language and his occupation, construction/development. From what I understand, concrete still cannot be poured in NYC, without approval of the union/mob. There is a lot of construction work where the mob is involved. THAT is why my first thought was ‘mob’. They are not known for their clean language and good manners!
