LOL, in September I posted a link to a National Review article that showed polling that Trump had turned Luzerne County, PA, which is the next county over from Wilkes-Barre, from Obama/Romney +5 in 2012 to Trump/Clinton +20.
That article was written in July. And Democrats far less involved in politics than the VP should have known it.
I can’t tell how many people I had to explain to, that Trump was going to put a crater in the upper midwest/rust belt “firewall” too....
It was obvious, Hillary had no shot at holding this section of the country... While she did do better than I generally expected here, she still lost every single state here I figured she would.. .reality is, she only had to lose 1 and the election was over... reality was, she indeed lost every single one.. and NEARLY lost MN as well!!!!
Her problems here were evident from the get go, but her people never went outside the urban centers, so they just assumed we’ve got them locked down, we should be good... they never saw the tidal wave growing in the rest of the state against them.
To put it in perspective.. in 2008... Obama got 300k more votes than Kerry .. he basically found 300k more voters to show up who never did before in PA... by 2012 most of them evaporated, and he was back down to basically the same level of votes as Kerry in 04. The Republican vote stayed pretty static at around ~2.7M ish. through 04, 08 and 12...
16 Trump asbolutey CRUSHED it, he garnered nearly 300k more votes than any republican ever had in PA.. He literally found 300k more votes and got them to show up for him... He pretty much pulled an OBAMA 08, but did it without the press running cover for him, and without the party machine, and without a single positive story ever being reported for him... What he did, is unprecidented... and he did it in state after state.. not just in PA... but did it again and gain and again!
The fact the MSM/POLLS/ELITES missed this, shows you how out of touch they are... Trump crushed it by over 3 Million votes sans NY and CALI and they all didn’t see it coming! Which is insane on its face.
Hillary will go to her grave claiming it was Russian hacking that robbed her of the presidency.
