The Department of the Interior (DOI) hired a registered sex offender who hid the fact he was arrested three more times and convicted of two domestic violence felonies while working for the government, according to an investigation.
Our investigation confirmed that the employee is a convicted felon, is a registered sex offender and is currently on probation with the State of Colorado, DOIs inspector general (IG) wrote in a short summary of an investigation into a Bureau of Land Management (BLM) employee.
BLM hired the male employee, who is not named, in 2011, and he had not been on probation for a past crime since 2003. The employee disclosed his felony conviction to DOI officials when he was hired, and the agency knew of the employees criminal history when they hired him and had adjudicated his background as favorable after mitigating his criminal history based on the time elapsed since his conviction.

Deliberate on the part of the employee.
Deliberate on the part of the Feds.
They share common goals.
It’s a Win-Win for them, and a Lose-Lose for us, but not for long!
It was awful. That combined with some other lunacy I won’t bother to go into here lead me to decide not to report certain things if I ever see them. If that’s the way those laws are going to be enforced I certainly won’t have a hand in enforcing them.
I’ve long ago started warning high school and college age friends to check the ID of anyone they start dating. Literally all it takes is one overzealous cop, one father who wants you away from his daughter any way he can...and suddenly you’re facing a hideous charge that you’ll never escape from even if you’re found innocent. It’s not paranoia; it’s already happened several times.
Of that I have no doubt.
There was a time when I would have as well. Not any more.
