I used to work as a store detective for a retailer in the DC area, and we'd get alerted by the other stores when they were in town. We'd been trained in counter-tactics, methods, special surveillance, put multiple eyes and cameras on the register line, and they'd still find a way to force register tills and make off with the cash. They came and went like wraiths. It was supernatural.
