As much as I despise Twitter, Facebook and Google, finding them liable in any way for this guy’s actions would set a dangerous precedent.

Right. If Google and Facebook are liable for this mutant’s actions, then so is a bank whose ATM is used to withdraw cash to buy his ammunition.
