Yes, it was a tree.
And apparently it was on Public property....
Should not there have been some discussion..about chopping down a tree...on Public property to do anything with?
Maybe we don't have full disclosure here..And I'd guess that is correct.

Should not there have been some discussion..about chopping down a tree...on Public property to do anything with? Possibly the answer is no, which is usually how a Representative government works, you elected people that can decide to cut down one tree from the many that are in a public park.

That there may be a multiplicity of such fools in any particular locality, and those willing to sympathize with their flapdoodle, is no mitigator.
