Look man, I lived through the Reagan years, a bitter disappointment. Actions speak louder than words. Let’s take this conversation up, say, a year from Inauguration Day. I’ve seen it all before. I admire your optimism, and ask you to respect my age and cynicism. I soooo hope your right. A year from now, I pray that you can rub my nose in it. Trump has street savvy, and he’s a man with a purpose and goal. No, things weren’t perfect under Reagan, but it was at the very worst an eight year respite where the Left wasn’t marching full speed ahead.
We have to be thankful for what we can get.
I personally think the climate is right for Trump to set the clock back decades. How many? I don’t know. As you intimated, we’ll have to wait and see.
Look at what the guy talks about. He talks like a guy who has been posting here for twenty years.
Take your victories where you can find them. I appreciate that you want what is best. Heck, these days that’s something in and of itself.
Don’t let folks get you down. Trump is going to do some things you’re going to love.
