I understand that, but more is going on here. The kid is denying reality. She IS a girl. There can be no mistake. She has decided that because she has a feeling (of wanting to be a boy or that she is a boy or that she should be a boy) that she actually IS a boy when she is not a boy, cannot be a boy and never will be a boy.
That is not mere confusion. That is denial of objective and irrefutable reality.
She is not confused, I’ll bet even money she still sits to urinate. Truly believing she was male would have her stand and make a mess.
She knows what she is but wants to either deny it, get attention, or blame God on her feelings.
I would look for an adult “counselor” who is pushing this on her and is “advising” her on her attraction to girls.
