This is the Tunisian asylum seeker who has become Europe's most wanted terrorist after his ID was found under the seat in the lorry used to massacre 12 people at a Berlin Christmas market.

Police today revealed they are hunting Anis Amri, 21, a refugee who came to Germany earlier this year. His paperwork was found in truck's footwell.

He is probably armed, 'highly dangerous' and a member of a 'large' Islamic organisation and has weapons training abroad, security sources say.

Something is fishy...

why do they find his ID (actually his residency permission) one day after they (presumably) searched the truck?
They didn’t look yesterday well enough? Apparently not... or they would’t have detained the wrong Pakistani guy yesterday.

Why did he place his ID below the drivers seat?

I would assume that the perp (who apparently planned the attack with some “professionalism”) would not take his ID with him... especially since he fled the scene and was not intending to “martyr” himself by dying during the attack.

Maybe it makes total sense. But ... is it a little odd that a guy committing a terrorist act leaves his ID under the seat? Of course it's plausible ... it just seems like if a guy is planning something like this do you both:

1. pay enough attention to make sure you papers are in the right place then
2. flee without them, leaving them for the police?
