It's pure nonsense. First of all the whole “homo” nonsense is a western thing. They don't have it in China, Vietnam, Armenia or Bulgaria. In most of Africa, ME and large parts of Asia homosexuality is actually illegal. If you classify the countries by their approach to homos into:

1. homo friendly.
2. homo neutral.
3. anti-homo.

Russia will be in the second basket. So much for Russia being somehow the last line of defense against homos. In Soviet Union homosexuality was a crime, in 90’s they made it legal but don't allow any homo “benefits” - that's the common sense approach and one of few things they get it right over there. Their approach to homos was the same when Hillary was handling the reset button to them on a silver plate. So much for your “theory”.
