Editor's Note: Jeb Bush is the former governor of Florida and was a candidate for the GOP nomination for president in 2016. The opinions expressed in this commentary are his.
(CNN)When Scott Pruitt and I assembled a Restoring Federalism Task Force last year, he headlined the plan: "Putting Washington In Its Place." Those five words sum up exactly what the American people were clamoring for in this election: a dramatic shift of power out of a broken Washington and back into the hands of the people.
I cannot think of a person more suited to lead the Environmental Protection Agency than Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt, someone who understands how to rein in an out-of-control bureaucracy and ensure that Washington focuses solely on its core functions.
Pruitt and I share a common vision for empowering the states and limiting the intrusion of the federal government in every area of our lives. He understands that a government closest to the people is best able to serve their interests.

I think Jeb! just put his finger to the wind and figured out which way the wind is blowing.
Peace pipe?
White flag?
Jeb Job Application?
When that happened I was so impressed with Trump.
While some thought it was hilarious and that Carson was such an idiot for missing the cue, ridiculing him, I immediately thought that Trump showed the most character by waiting with Carson.
We should show this when the libs say that Trump isn’t qualified to be POTUS.
IIRC, it wasn’t Carson’s fault. I was still making up my mind about Trump and I was impressed by him sticking by Carson.
Jeb?
I missed all this, what happened?
“Some of the old elites seem to realize that the only way they remain relevant is to acquiesce and jump on the Trump Train while they can.”
That’s exactly what’s going on here. Contrary to sucking up, I read this as an effort of ‘me too’ in order to challenge in 2020.
It won’t work, but... well, Jeb!. ‘Nuff said.
ITS ME TOO! Yeb.
They are referring to the incident captured in the gif at post 20.
That was a defining moment for me towards Trump. Showed me that he is a real gentleman unlike the rest.
That and his foriegn policy speech where he commented on the Nation State and harmony, as well as against the globalists.
Ok Jeb!, we heard you.
Now please sit down
It was at a debate when they intor’d the debaters. Carson did not hear his name and he stopped..the rest simply went around him and Trump came up to Ben and motioned for him to go. Ben didnt, so Trump stood by him till the last and allowed Ben to go out in front of him at the end.
Yes, I know, but I don’t know what that incident was.
Oh, exactly. Not blaming Carson. He was one of the only three I would have voted for at the time... Carson, Cruz and Trump. We all know it turned out in the end :)
Trump showed true that he was a true gentleman at that debate. He was humble and caring.
Jeb! and the rest just ran right by.
Is the a Low Energy Dept?
See post #32.
Carson was miscued on when to enter the stage, so he hung back
Everyone else ran right past him, leaving him standing there. But Trump stopped and waited with him until the end, then motioned for Carson to go first onto the stage and he followed.
I’m glad that they put that editor’s note in there because I wasn’t quite sure who this guy was. I think Mike Murphy used him to raise a bunch of money to get rich off the election, but I don’t remember seeing him get anywhere in the polls.
More energy tonight, I like that
It’s sad when an irrelevancy realizes he’s irrelevant.
