"Speaking as a Texan, it is way past time for Texas Republicans to get their house in order - there needs to be a law passed in TX that faithless electors are guilty of a FELONY for failing to vote as directed by the voters. Also, the TX Republican Party needs to vet its people better. This is simply shameful."

Maybe, but you need to have ironclad language, such as we have in Michigan, where a "faithless" vote is immediately disqualified and replaced via installing an elector who honors the November election results.

An ounce of prevention >>> pound of cure

Of course, Michigan has its own need for corrective legislation, such as making sure any candidate requesting a recount must pay for it in full in advance, as well as making sure that said candidate has a chance to actually win in any recount.

I might not go as far as that [felony] but each elector should be reminded that they ^must^ cast their vote according to their “constituency-vote”; AKA: vox populi.

If we have Electors that ignore their voters, do we not have sedition? The votes of November have been cast, ne c’est pas?

I would rather see the localities represented by the Elector to file charges of Constitutional sedition.
Will Soros pay for a losing cause to protect his minions?
