The taxpayer-funded University of Kentucky has punished a journalism professor for sexual misconduct because, the professors says, he publicly sang "California Girls" by The Beach Boys.
The professor, Buck Ryan, told his bizarre story of bureaucratic woe in an op-ed in the Lexington Herald-Leader this weekend.
The University of Kentucky’s Title IX coordinator - Patty Bender, according to the public school's website - ruled that Ryan’s crooning of "California Girls" was sexual misconduct because the song includes "language of a sexual nature," Ryan writes.
The occasion which caused Ryan to belt out the 1965 Beach Boys song was the closing ceremony of an education program in China co-sponsored by the University of Kentucky and China's Jilin University. Ryan had taught a class for the program called "Storytelling: Exploring China's Art and Culture."
During the closing ceremony, Ryan says, he sang his own version of "California Girls" to portray "the many differences in Chinese and American culture."

The valve cover is very wide (top to bottom). Something you’d see on a 427 or some other big block. I’d see valve covers on 427/454’s (admittedly in the 1970’s) like that.
I’m not sure what it could be (back then).
Certainly doesn’t have the shape of a 409 if memory serves.

I had an ‘86 Corvette. I always thought it was an L98 but apparently it was an L83 (350).
It had much more narrow valve covers. Only Chevy I had. I’m trying to remember what V-8 was in the GMC truck I had for a while (mid 1960’s). Big block I think. Been too long on that one, too. Only had it a year or two in the early 1980’s.
Same types who are just fine with Eminem and the like.

It is likely a BBC ,,definitely not a SBC because of the evenly spaced exhaust ports.. not a clear enough photo .. but the dual quads say big block to me. Fords have a front mount distributor and this is a rear mount.

The most provocative line in the song is, "I dig a french bikini on Hawaii island dolls". BIG WHOOP. You can turn on any over air network and see more revealing women, or read a book or read a magazine. She's obviously one of the LGBTQrstuvwxyz bunch. Gawd forbid straight men praising the looks of women.
While I used to believe that liberalism/socialism/communism was from the utopian desire to make all good for all people, I'm now convinced they truly have a "mental disease", as in brain malfunction. I don't think their neurons are firing correctly or maybe it's their vegan diets.

409’s had scalloped cutouts in the valve covers for spark plug and wire access.. I say it’s a BBC ,, 396/427 .. 454 came later.. after that photo .. but they’re all the same externally.

Yes, those were my thoughts, too. A 409 is very distinctive. Somebody else suggested it could be Olds or Caddy. I was also thinking Olds perhaps.
