If I were an elector, I would have considered taking their money (and whatever other favors they wanted to offer...) and just voted Trump anyway. Their bribery is illegal, so what would they do, incriminate themselves by turning me in? Plus the added bonus of watching them go additional apehsh!t...
Well, the GOP held the State Senate district narrowly, though the Dems still kept 2 State House seats there. So status quo. The county still voted for the Butcheress for President, although they did vote for Jay Ashcroft for Sec of State. Josh Hawley, the incoming GOP Attorney General, hails from Columbia, but they voted narrowly for his Dem opponent.
I know an elector from 2004. Even then, he got bags of mail and was bombarded with phone calls, a lot of them not friendly.
Probably more states will go the route of Kansas and New York and appoint electors who are already high-profile political players, as they are used to the harassment.

Once again the libs have overstepped. What happens if, in 2020, the result is Dem candidate 270, GOP 268 and the House is still in GOP hands?
What will the libs’ reaction be then to a full court press by GOP voters to get just one Dem elector to change his vote to the GOP, or two Dem electors to abstain or choose a third candidate, in either case throwing the election to the GOP-controlled house?

And even if the effort failed, watching the liberal media twist and turn for over a month as the effort was underway would be, well, priceless.
You’ve forgotten that there is no shame and no admittance of hypocrisy on the left. Harry Reid and Chuck Shumer on their textbook-perfect flip-flops on the value of the filibuster? “It’s different.” Candidate Obama vs President Obama? “I have more information now.” Etc.
She could also make Bill Clinton really happy!
General McAuliffe was much more eloquent: “Nuts” when the Germans asked him to surrender.
General Patton, when told McAuliffe’s response, said, “A man that eloquent has to be saved.” Indeed!
I once met Loretta Swift at a gem show and she was very gracious in signing my “MASH” cast photo and a couple other things.
She’ll always be “Hot Lips Houlihan” to us old guys. And she was very pretty in person too.
