Author Ed Klein told Pete Hegseth on Fox and Friends Weekend this morning that Barack Obama is setting up a shadow government in Washington DC to undermine President Trump after Inauguration Day.

They rented an eight-bedroom mansion in the section of Washington near Joe Lockhart, Bill Clinton’s last press secretary. In that house there’s enough room for Valerie Jarrett and Michelle and the kids. A place for ten cars to park. They are setting up what they are calling a shadow government.

If Obama is setting up a shadow government, does that mean are going to have 2 shadow governments now???
I would expect nothing less - he could not get anything done when he was on the inside, but he does his best work from the outside.
That being said, I do not expect this to work with Trump. The Donald will be 3 steps ahead of him, always responding within the reaction time of Obama. It will not take the press long to figure out that Obama is out of the control loop and only a sidelight. Only Trump could make this happen, and I believe he will.
What is really going on here is that Obama committed crimes while in office and once he leaves office whistle blowers are going to be coming out of the woodwork. He’s setting up enforcers to deal with them the same way he dealt with Seth Rich.

He's a bumbling idiot with his teleprompter.
And he is basically a lazy man with no real work ethic.
But he is still a danger to the Rupublic.
Obama was, and still is, an effective front man for some very sly, very wealthy people who are still determined to "own" the US government.
I think you nail the difference between Trump and “politics as usual”. Trump does not suffer fools and pretty much calls them out when necessary. The press hates that. The voters love it.

Current Occupant may not be that S-M-A-R-T, but his handlers are. And they are sticking in a tight little circle close to the levers of power, should the opportunity ever again arise.
Pray that does not happen, and work so it never shall happen.
This will most probably take the form of a think tank for oppo research. Perhaps a little plausible but false information fed to them anonymously could lead to their eventual discredit and dissolution.
I get that. I just don’t believe it will work with trump. McCain, probably. Bush, definitely. Even Rubio or Cruz.
But not Trump. He’ll be happy to call out what is going on and take no prisoners. Twitter bypasses the press.
obama has always been a shadow.
Others had propped him up. They do not need him anymore.
