I used to be a rockem sockem Kenpo guy in the 70’s. Was into the tournament scene back then. As I got older I have evolved my art ... as do most older martial artists. I have learned thru the years how to use as little of my own energy as possible but still make sure that my opponent doesn’t get up for “round 2”. I would devastate my 25 year old self now.
