A fair chunk of Calif is illegal alien votes and other voter frauds.

Indeed. There have been deals cut in smoke filled rooms, you can be certain of that. All involved should be serving long terms. Like that will happen.
If the election was decided by the popular vote we would be swearing in a President Hillary Clinton. Hillary’s margin of victory in California was 4.3 million votes.
The purpose of the Electoral College is to prevent regional candidates from dominating national elections. California is a one-party state. No Republicans bothered running for statewide office and no GOP candidates ran in nine congressional districts.
Democrats know they can control elections from now on if the could find a way to alter teh Electoral College
But there is a speed bump on their road to socialism. It starts with the 2018 mid terms when 10 dems in the senate will be trying to defend their seats in states won by Trump. If he can spend the next 15 months making good on his promises and putting people back to work the dems may be impotent for some time to come.
...and then there's that part about the Supreme Court.
