The facts are really very simple. In the 1996 presidential campaign and during the Clinton Monicagate investigation, the Chinese government paid a total of about Seventy Seven Million Dollars in bribes and payoffs to the Clintons.
The payoffs served three purposes for the Clintons, and one for the PRC.
First, the Clintons were worried about funding the 1996 general election. The 1994 Congressional election had been a disaster for the Democrats. The House of Representatives experienced a 54 seat swing in favor of Newt and his team. The House went from solidly Democrat to firmly Republican. In 1996, America was already sick of Hillary. Her failed Hillarycare campaign, a precursor of Obamacare, had been a disaster. The Clintons were seriously worried about Bob Dole presenting himself as a (bit of a) Populist. Bill, Hillary and the DNC were very worried about fundraising, especially for down-ticket candidates.
Secondly, Facing Monicagate soon after, they knew they would need money for legal fees. From the earliest days of the matter, Bill wanted to go on TV, confess all, accept responsibility, beg for forgiveness, and say “let’s move forward.” As the consummate politician, he knew that was the smart move. Hillary, as the politically-tone deaf lawyer demanded to fight it legally. She won, but with that decision came the acknowledgement there would be millions of dollars in legal fees for their “ropa dopa”, “fight it every step of the way” defense.
Third, remember, from the earliest days in Arkansas, the Clinton were and are basically crooks. If they were given an opportunity to get millions of dollars in payoffs, why would they pass up such an opportunity? Also, they are crooks, but they are not stupid crooks. If you think Hillary is stupid, remember they went from being in debt to worth at least $150,000,000 in just a few years, with her making $170,000 a year as SecState! Her book was a total failure and all they ever received from it was the (unearned) advance payment. The publisher demanded, as per the contract, the return of some of the advance, but Hillary refused. In addition, the ghostwriter never was paid for years, if they ever were.
For the PRC, the benefit is simple to understand. They paid the price, and they owned Bill and Hillary. What’s new is this. The amount of the bribes and payoffs has never been reported, up until now. During my DC time, a very senor member of the committee investigating this whole mess was a golf and Scotch friend, and our wives frequently “lunched and shopped.” (Married men know what that includes.)
One afternoon, I happened to be in an elevator in the Capitol with my friend. The investigation had concluded with no results. Reno had killed the idea of a Special Prosecutor as the FBI and others had recommended. My friend was really angry. He had put a lot of time, energy and political capital into the investigation, and it was all for naught.
We were alone, and it was the end of a long day. I said “Ok, (name), It’s over. You gave it your best shot, but the country is tired of Clinton scandals. So how much did the Clintons and the DNC really get from the PRC?
After much back and forth, he finally said, “We were never able to pin it down completely, but the total was $77,000,000 plus or minus 10%.”
So when Hillary complains about the Russians, remember they took a $77,000,000 bribe 20 years ago…. And someday I’ll write about the $26,000,000 Bill got from the Saudis when he was Governor of Arkansas!

Yes, the Clintons were bought lock stock and barrel by the Chinese in the 90s and look where we are today. China is an emerging superpower with a huge industrial base and we’ve been hollowed out and overrun with leftists.

We know, but try not to get too defensive over this story because it keeps us off our game. It’s like being accused of racism w/o any real proof and then giving a bunch of examples of how you’re not racist.

The story I’m talking about is the Russia hacked the election nonsense. You can’t defend it, because it’s pure bs. Just let them spin because that’s all they’ve got. The senate and congress doesn’t really want a hearing on these emails and who really provided them to wiki leaks.

What about all the donations by foreign governments to Hildabeast’s foundation. That wasn’t trying to influence the election??
Actually, most foreign governments assumed her election was assured.
As such, they were paying their earlier bribes for ‘favors’ when Hillary was SecState, then later when they considered their “contributions” to be payments for future “favors” from the future POTUS.
You are rights that their whole core set set of values is crooked, it’s just a question of when what bribe bought which favor.
Remember as well that money was never a problem for Hillary. She outspent Trump “huuuuuugely.”
It’s just that she spent it on the wrong commercials, and more importantly, enough people finally realized that a pig in a $10,000 pant suit and a 3d facelift.... is still a pig.
