President-elect Donald Trump has nominated Mick Mulvaney, a conservative Republican congressman from South Carolina who is known as a budget hawk, as director of the Office of Management and Budget. Donald Trump accuses China of 'unpresidented' act over US navy drone Read more
In a statement issued on Saturday morning shortly after Trump tweeted an inflammatory comment about Chinas seizure of a US navy drone in the South China Sea Trump called Mulvaney a very high-energy leader with deep convictions for how to responsibly manage our nations finances and save our country from drowning in red ink.
Trump also said that with Mulvaney as his budget director, his administration would make smart choices and renew the American taxpayers trust in how their money is spent.
Mulvaney said he would help restore budgetary and fiscal sanity after eight years of an out-of-control, tax-and-spend financial agenda under Barack Obama.
Like other Trump nominations, the budget directors job requires Senate approval.
Mulvaneys nomination follows a pattern of Trump turning to individuals with records apparently hostile to the agencies they are nominated to lead.

Other than learning how to spell “precedent”...all’s well.
trump’s tweet is inflammatory, but not when china steal our drone? Words vs Action
“Other than learning how to spell precedent...alls well.”
Go back and just read that tweet again but this time think of the context of how Obama reacted to the entire Chinese annexation of the SCS. I will submit it was perfectly intentional and 100% on target.
“Conservative” my ass. He is pro-amnesty

Trump is a genius. Thats no [spieling] mistake. ( get it?)
He doesn't have a say in foreign policy.
Early life, education, and early career

Mulvaney attended law school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He earned a full scholarship to attend law school, where his focus was on anti-trust law. He graduated with his law degree in 1992.
From 1992 to 1997, Mulvaney practiced law with the firm James, McElroy & Diehl. Mulvaney joined his family’s homebuilding and real estate business. He participated in the Owners and Presidents Management Program at Harvard Business School. In addition, he had been a minority shareholder and Owner-Operator in Salsarita’s Fresh Cantina, a privately held regional restaurant chain.

He seems well qualified for the job.
At least now, people are going to know that China stole our drone. What an embarrassment for Obama.

That is an excellent observation.
And it bodes well for a smaller cheaper, less intrusive fedgov.
It auto-completes as president for me on a SwiftKey keyboard on an LG V20 android phone. I think he should take credit for the pun.
He spelled it correctly for what he wanted to say regarding the lack of a real President leading our country. They only did it because the current _Resident is such a weak male.
With a trillion dollar stimulus in the wings?.. um yawn and no.
I tend to agree with you that it was intentional. Trump is a master at directing the dialogue of the Media exactly where he wants it pinpointed...in this case at Obama!
This is a win ... a flat out wonderful win...thanks Donald Trump...
This is music to my ears!! This guy will take a meat ax to government waste and give away!! We just keep winning!!!
