Oglethorpe University and Rutgers University have joined the list of schools making sure students dont get too stressed out by final exams and jobs.
The Oglethorpe Counseling Center, for example, recently sponsored a three-hour "Stress Free Zone" on December 9, the last day of classes, where student could go to enjoy puppies and henna tattoos.

On top of standard career center services such as resume writing, leadership retreats, and career conferences, the BOLD center also hosts "coffee and chat," which facilitates conversations about "mindfulness and happiness."
Examples of "coffee and chats" include "#adulting, "where college students could learn how to handle the basic responsibilities of life, as well as On freedom, diversity, and inclusion" and "Happiness Project."

"They are giving us great resources for things we can do when we get stressed out," said Brianna Bornstein, a first-year dietetics major. "I think when you get overwhelmed you begin to doubt yourself and your abilities."
The BOLD Center addresses what they consider to be unique workplace challenges for women, such as the "gender wage gap" and "barriers to leadership."

You Freepers should not make any bad comments about these poor snowflakes ... because they are already under a lot of stress ... they can't take much more hurt ... their schools are running low on comfort dogs ... and their adulting classes are rapidly filling up.
Better these little idiots are petting puppies instead of running out in the interstates causing damage to cars.
From the Fall of 1967 trough the Spring of 1971 when I was in college, flunking out meant a 2 year vacation in Vietnam. No coloring book was going to change that.
There was a time when college students could gut out the stress with beer.
......if they need time to relax and ponder, after playing with the “PUPPIES”...let them volunteer at local shelters “cleaning” “PUPPIES” poo.
A self respecting institution that values the quality and worth of its tutelage doesn't pander like this. I think they are doing it just for the money and if they have to babysit a bunch of little brats they are more than willing.
Whiny little bitches
Absolutely. Then they could become adults without the false gerund form “adulting”.
Anyone have a picture of that young World War II soldier from Life magazine?
I am 70 years old and am glad that I will have but another 10 - 20 years of life as contemplating living under the control of these mud maggots makes me need a safe zone and a puppy. Dear God, what is in store for this country?
“Absolutely. Then they could become adults without the false gerund form adulting.”

And “Parenting” is no better. The real McCoy is “raising kids”.
Examples of coffee and chats include #adulting, where college students could learn how to handle the basic responsibilities of lifeYeah right. I learned handling those responsibilities way, way before college age, from my parents. And coffee was always a kickstart towards a busy Monday.
What if you live to 110 ? ;-D
Four words have to be our Mantra....”Suck It Up, Buttercup!”
“Rutgers University, meanwhile, has also expanded the stress-free effort to their career services”
==
Because the working world, like the rest of the world, is “stress-free”.
“One of those false gerunds prevalent in English-speaking Europe is gifting.”
==
I cringe at the “gerunding” of our language. Though I believe “gifting”, in specific, originated from the “Seinfeld” tv series.
