Stressed-out students pet puppies, learn secrets of 'adulting'

Oglethorpe University and Rutgers University have joined the list of schools making sure students don’t get too stressed out by final exams and jobs.

The Oglethorpe Counseling Center, for example, recently sponsored a three-hour "Stress Free Zone" on December 9, the last day of classes, where student could go to enjoy puppies and henna tattoos.

On top of standard career center services such as resume writing, leadership retreats, and career conferences, the BOLD center also hosts "coffee and chat," which facilitates conversations about "mindfulness and happiness."

Examples of "coffee and chats" include "#adulting, "where college students could learn how to handle the basic responsibilities of life, as well as “On freedom, diversity, and inclusion" and "Happiness Project."

"They are giving us great resources for things we can do when we get stressed out," said Brianna Bornstein, a first-year dietetics major. "I think when you get overwhelmed you begin to doubt yourself and your abilities."

The BOLD Center addresses what they consider to be unique workplace challenges for women, such as the "gender wage gap" and "barriers to leadership."

The snowflakes have removed themselves from any future competitive issues in their lifetime.

This snowflake religion/cult has given our adult children, nieces, nephews, grandkids and grand nieces/nephews an incredible advantage for the rest of their lives in our competitive world.

You know, I’m SO glad I put myself through two tech schools, and then college (night classes) while working 10 hours days.

I never had to deal with these kinds of losers and insanity.

Reality has a way of biting you in the ass sooner or later. These little butthurt babies need it sooner.

When my old man was their age, he was leading Airborne troops in the Ardennes, Belgium, 1944/45 and then into Germany.

God help the Country.

They will never learn it. Just been brainwashed to never grow up. It is not your fault, it is always someone or something else that has caused you such problems. Cry longer and louder and you will be given more candy and toys.

Well, the answer to that can be found in the progressives that have ruled on and off since the early twentieth century. After WWII though, they redoubled their efforts, now with the communist-designed United Nations on their side and their acolytes in both major US political parties.

This snippet from the tenth chapter of The Conscience of a Conservative shows how deep it was ingrained even 56 years ago:
The rallying cry of an appeasement organization, portrayed in a recent novel on American politics, was: “I would rather crawl on my knees to Moscow than die under an atom bomb.”

This sentiment, of course, repudiates everything that is courageous and honorable and dignified in the human being.

We must—as the first step toward saving American freedom—affirm the contrary view and make it the cornerstone of our foreign policy: that we would rather die than lose our freedom. …
That anti-appeasement view has not taken hold and is now at critical mass today.

This is the end result of basing morality on feelings, that it is bad for anyone to feel bad, you’re bad if you cause them to feel bad (deliberately or not). When there is a conflict, this is where the victimhood hierarchy comes in, determining who has the moral weight based on demographics unless some higher “social justice” premise is violated.
Liberals are mimicking the moral and legal hierarchy of Islam, Muslim men on top, Muslim women below that, People of the book who pay the extra taxes next, monotheists not paying taxes below that, infidels, apostates. They’ve also picked up the “criticism = assault” where Islam lets you kill critics of the faith to defend the ideology, though liberals deny that equating words to violence enables and endorses murder of critics.
You get fascism in the name of feelings enforced by violence justified by the elite’s pure selves never to be blemished by “hate facts” or pointing out the evil that results from good intentions or abuse of power by those who have bad intentions and weaponize the ideology.

Puppy petting? That’s a microaggression against cynophobes and Muslims. Stop your puppy petting or I’ll hold my breathe and stomp my feet.
