Research the ‘faith based’ refugee resettlement programs. They are making a fortune.
For the initial intake an first year it is at least $30k per head on the South of the border folks. Possibly up to $62K on the Syrians and Somalians when they handle the whole process.
These are profit making groups with ‘church leaders’ pulling down six figure incomes with expense accounts. Maybe that’s why there seems to be less televangelism, the big money is refugees.

Uganda is special because their president supported abstinence. The article is from 2006 and I hope they have stayed the course.
The other African leaders are claiming that taking a shower will wash disease away and raping a virgin will be the cure for AIDS. That led to an epidemic of child and baby raping.
This NYT article from 2012 criticizes Uganda’s increase in AIDS.
But it had only increased from 6.4% to 7.2%. Not good, but that’s a fraction of the AIDS reported in the rest of the African nations.

Wow! I knew they were pulling some big dollars but not that much per head.
I know Catholic Charities pulls in billions of our tax dollars per year. Other faith based groups pull in a lot of money too.
And that is just the first year cost. After they’re signed up for welfare and every other government assistance program, there is no telling how much they cost tax payers. And that is just the first generation of them. Their children learn how to live off the tax payers money too.

We are on the hook for trillions of dollars but cannot tell them what to do or how to use that money. It would be colonial (Western imperialism) and that's "bad". Better to support Marxist and Islamic imperialism in "Mother Africa". Military juntas are the Left's idea of fighting off Western imperialism.

AIDS activists today are fighting to eradicate laws that require AIDS sufferers to notify their sexual partners (and potential partners) because “AIDS Pride” and all that.
They aren’t about human rights, consensual sex (informed consent), or saving lives.
The headline is misleading...the abstinence program was 100% successful for those who participated correctly...
As long as they believe that sex with a virgin will cure AIDS you can’t fix the issue.

Abstinence in Africa? Yeah, that works well.
That’s it in a nutshell but only a small few will utter those words. As far as we know now, AIDS is 100% behavioral. Stop the behavior, stop the transmission.
No amount of money sent to Africa is going to help people this mentally deficient.
They failed to mention Fidel Castro’s program of putting all the Cuban soldiers who had contracted AIDS while fighting in Angola into quarentine (concentration) camps.

How can anyone teach anything to people who believe you cure AIDS by raping infants and wearing the body parts of albinos brings good luck?
