Attorney General Loretta Lynch on Thursday stepped up the pressure on Baltimore officials to reach a deal with the federal government to overhaul the city’s police practices, saying “the ball is in the city’s court” to conclude negotiations soon.

Lynch, who took office in April 2015 as riots roiled Baltimore after the death of a black man in police custody, said she intends to return to Baltimore in January to give an update on efforts to reach a court-enforceable consent decree.

Her statements seemed intended to publicly push Baltimore toward a resolution and appeared to reflect disappointment in the pace of negotiations. …

She threatens to be back in January, when there will be even fewer days before she goes bye-bye.

Obama and his crew seem to think their ideology was endorsed by the November 8th election. No, it was a repudiation of his and his crew’s ideology.

Let the new team sort this out.

The world won’t come to an end, and BLM will be on notice.

No more of this ‘- - - -’!

I don’t know, there’s a certain joy to watching them get the pointy end of a boot on January 20th.

Why do they need to overhaul the police force?

The 6 officers were acquitted because they did nothing wrong.

Freddie acted stupidly and Darwin took it from there.

Libtards that run Baltimore might be stoopid enough to submit, but they shouldn’t! Just hold out until Jan. 20!

6 officers innocent of wrong-doing, and the DOJ wants to take over the Baltimore PD anyway. Outrageous!

Don't get too excited about this. Trump's people are going to be the monitors of whatever decree is obtained.

It may take a long while for Trump appointees to fumigate DOJ, most of whose employees are under Civil Service job protection.

I don't believe any of the attorneys are.

That’s going to be interesting to watch play out, how much clearing out Trump’s people can do within the Civil Service system.

Trump can sideline anyone in the DOJ and appoint his own people to carry out his election mandate. No one needs to be fired. All retirees can be replaced with Trump appointees.
