DC marching bands want no part in Trump's inauguration
Fox News (NY Post) ^ | December 15, 2016

For the first time in 20 years, no Washington, DC, marching band will perform in the presidential inauguration.

The bands that have performed at the last five inaugural parades — plus all other local groups — have not applied to participate in President-elect Donald Trump’s swearing-in ceremony, NBC 4 Washington reports.

“I think everybody knows why and no one wants to say and lose their job,” Howard University band director John Newson, whose band marched for President Obama’s swearing-in ceremony in 2009, told the local news affiliate.

When are we going to realize the left is an enemy which intends to destroy America as it exists.

The election of Donald J. Trump proves that the Red Zone already understands this.

This was the last opportunity to turn the country around, and real America responded.

A large contingent of Millenials also understands this.

have you been seeing a lot of marching bands at gay weddings?

No.
Thank God for small favors.

And the great city of my youth, San Francisco, is only an hour away.

I will bet that there are high school marching bands in Wisconsin—Michigan—Pennsylvania—Montana—Kansas—Nebraska—
Texas—and MANY other states who would be DELIGHTED to be asked.

There are wonderful high school marching bands all over the country.

Also—DRUM & BUGLE CORPS. They are spectacular.

I was raised near Madison, Wis., and the Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps was always a delight.

3 members of my high school graduating class (of 93 students) were members of the Scouts D & B C . Their rendition of “You’ll Never Walk Alone’ played at the state high school basketball championships—in stocking feet on the BB court would bring tears to your eyes. Still do—just thinking about the memory.

Don’t need marching bands.

All they need is The O’Jays.

Use Texas Bands—or bands from West Virginia! We do not need Washington DC bands to play—maybe the Navy or Army can provide some music?

DC public schools are about 90 to 95% students of color. So it’s no surprise, and no one needs to become excited over it.

So bring in the marching bands from the red states. In fact, move the inauguration to a red state...

These blue states are afraid, and they should be.

Payback time....MeanTime....
