I had always thought they look pretty sharp out there, something like one of those exotic art projects.

Then I started hearing about problems with them, which really floored me. Didn’t anyone run any studies before these things were rolled out?

The bird problem was something that took me by surprise too.

The main problem is wind turbines are not economically viable.

Actually yes the did run studies that determined they could get more in tax breaks than they cost to install plus they could charge a premium for any electricity they actually produced.
