This whole dump Trump thing has become such a joke. To think the left putting this out there on one hand to be believed as fact, and any facts they do not approve of being labeled as fake news.
Then trying something new just about every day, and we get to this “sleeper agent” stuff. Do they realize they are proving to the world they are all lunatics? Good writers cannot make up comedy this good.
But it won’t be funny if some of the mud they are slinging sticks and Hitlery gets sworn in. This is when things will get bloody ugly.

The sleeper agent is more likely the one who said worrying about Russia is “80’s thinking”, disclosed nuclear secrets or secretly promised to be “more flexible”, or thought pushing a button connected to nothing would make Russia an ally.

I'm tired of the "Russians are evil" mindset.
Married to a Russian, my children half Russian and immersed in Russian culture, I've learned a lot about them. Mostly, they are just like we are. They have the same interests, the same values, the same shortcomings. They like to go to restaurants, have fun with their friends, spend time with their families. They want a comfortable home, a nice car, a good job and a vacation once in a while. They like pop music, action movies, sitcoms and reality TV (preferably on a big screen, high-def just like we do). They go to church when they can, celebrate the Christian holidays, sin and repent, just like we do. They'll knock back a beer or a shot, eat too much, smoke, laugh and enjoy life.
One big difference between the two is that the Russians aren't ashamed to be proud of their heritage like we are. They're happy they won World War Two! They don't apologize for it! They're proud of their culture, of being Russian, and don't feel an obligation to open the floodgates to non-Russian immigration. They love their children and want them to have a prosperous life.

Your third paragraph is especially powerful, and reminds me so much of the 50s decade during which I was blessed to have been born in this country.
In short, imho, they are much more 'us' than 'other'.
