I don’t know if he’s Muzzie (choke, cough) but he was born Arthur Davenport in 1956. So he seems to be one of those hybrid politicians who “converted” in some way, to at least another identity, one which was likely designed to further his political ambitions (which obviously included lots of nice self-dealings) His son, Chaka, Jr. is already serving a 5 year sentence for tax fraud.

Please note that Fattah is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) .
Pretty ironic considering his wife (Renee Chenault-Fattah)is a news anchor and is estimated to make around 950K a year and Fatah made close to 200K as a Congressman. We will never know for sure how much the Fattahs made since he always refused to release his tax records when running for office.
