Sweden has run out of garbage and the Scandinavian country has been forced to import rubbish from other countries to keep its state-of-the-art recycling plants going.
Sweden, which sources almost half its electricity from renewables, was one of the first countries to implement a heavy tax on fossil fuels in 1991. Sweden’s recycling system is so sophisticated that only less than one per cent of its household waste has been sent to landfill last year.

That’s garbage, alright.
On the surface, that seems highly efficient. But burning the garbage to generate energy seems shortsighted. Kind of like when the US added MTBE to gasoline in order to make it burn more efficiently, only to find out the MTBE was finding its way into our water supplies.
You know, I heard about that. It seems that Malmo was too peaceful, and the women were able to walk around without being raped. That was no good, so Sweden imported garbage from other countries, and now any White woman who goes to Malmo will be raped.
Guess that’s what the Swedish government wanted in the first place.
Uhhhh... that’s not what MTBE was originally added for. MTBE was added as an anti-knock agent when we decided to remove lead from gasoline (which was causing big health problems) so engines wouldn’t self-destruct. Gasoline needs anti-knock agents to burn in internal combustion engines. The oxygenate nature of MTBE was just a side effect and bonus... or so it was thought.
Amusingly, when lead was banned from gasoline, MTBE was selected instead of a bismuth-based solution from (I think) DuPont. Bismuth is pretty inert and isn’t known to cause any health issues. However, the Democrats decided that they didn’t want to trust DuPont and went with MTBE instead, which turned out to have big nasty effects, like rendering water undrinkable at even minute concentrations. Whoops.
Shows the stupidity of the average government liberal. On one hand, they make it almost illegal to throw out any trash. Each home in Sweden has something like seven different recycle bins for virtually everything.
They also have a growing rat problem because the recyclables are dumped in holding areas because there’s not much to do with quite a bit of the recyclables.
At the same time, they build trash burning energy plants. That might be a great idea provided they have any trash and don’t have to buy it from other countries because their own lemmings have been trained to not throw anything out.
If the cost to burn is lass than the cost of energy, go for it.
Newsweek has lots of “Madam President” mags they need to dispose of.
If they need garbage, let’s send all the liberals there...
They want garbage? Sweden, Americans got lots of garbage, they are called Liberals? You can have them for FREE.
Huh. I remember doing this from SimCity. Make a bit of extra $$ charging for it too!
