OK...I have had a rollicking weird weekend.
Yesterday, of course, we had the FR breakdown.
Then, near my little village, a car crashed into a utility pole and plunged us into darkness.
Leaving that behind us, my sisters and B-I-L all piled into a car to see my two nephews perform in a Rock Club in Somerville MA, a place where, even with GPS, it is a hallowed tradition that you will get LOST. This dates back to Colonial Times, and is considered de rigeur as part of the Somerville “Experience”. If you are from the South Shore, have had a beer or too, and running out of gas, it is considered “expected.”
The band was awesome and I was glad to have gone, but it was bitter cold and exacerbated my cold (KerCHOO!)
On my arrival home, the electricity was back on and so was FR! Huzzah! I posted and went to bed.
The next day I could NOT get my computer to turn on. I tried everything. Finally, I went to the Apple Store and was told that my MAC was now considered “Vintage”, and i would have to go home and wait for a phone call. OR pay over $1000 for a new desktop.
So I went home, unplugged everything, said a prayer, and plugged everything back in. And it works fine.
When Apple called I told them about this, and i think the Gal sounded a little disappointed that she was not going to be setting me up for a new FINANCED product.
So now, I have FR, my Mac, a big proud smile for my nephews, and a miserable cold.
Here’s my nephew’s video:

Glad you were able to have a good time where your nephews were performing. Did you get lost?
Quite the scare with your computer. So glad you were able to get it back in service.
