Ryan and Ammon Bundy refused to enter a federal courtroom Friday for a hearing in the armed standoff case...
....among 17 defendants in the case, are the sons of Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy, the central figure in the standoff that unfolded in April 2014 between Bundy's supporters and federal agents who had rounded up his cows....
....in orange jumpsuits, several defendants in the federal courtroom yelled out as the three-hour hearing ended: "Resistance to tyranny is obedience to God."
U.S. Magistrate Judge Peggy Leen told federal marshals she didn't want the Bundy brothers put in the courtroom by force and ordered them to be kept in an area with access to audio of the proceedings....
The judge didn't issue a decision at the hearing but said it would be "logistically impossible" to have one trial for all the defendants.
Proscutors are pushing for a tiered system of three trials.....That means trials would start in February, May and August.
Defendants have a variety of alternatives.....
Cliven Bundy, for example, has pushed for one trial for all 17 defendants or the alternative of a separate trial for himself after all the others are tired first.
Bundy attorney Bret Whipple said in court that his client wants defendants to be able to return to their families quickly.
The defendants, who are in federal custody, face federal charges that include conspiracy to assault federal agents and stem from the events of April 12, 2014, several miles from the Bundy Ranch near Bunkerville....
Dozens of family members and friend crowded into the courtroom to observe the proccedings.
"My dad is an all-American cowboy who loves his country and loves God," said St. George, Utah resident Molly Stuart, 34, one of Cliven Bundy's 14 children......

I hope that happens. I want it to happen.

Seriously, can anyone really see Trump getting involved in this and undermining the authority of law enforcement and the courts? I sure don't.
By the way, was it ever revealed who exactly murdered Mr. Finicum (sp?)?

President Trump should put freeing the Bundys at the top of his ‘to do’ list! Action should be taken to remove the federal judge. The lands should be returned to the state along with all government lands in all states.
The version of what happened as told by authorities is that an Oregon State Police officer fired the fatal shot although members of the FBI Hostage Rescue Team fired shots at Finicum’s truck with him and passengers inside at it came to a stop in the snow and LaVoy exited.
The FBI’s drone video is said to show the agents going through the snow to recover the shell casings to cover up their shooting at LaVoy.
Supposedly the Inspector General of the Justice Department in Washington is investigating that aspect of the killing.
LaVoy’s family said earlier this year they intend to file a wrongful death lawsuit.
We shall see if you are right but as I said in my comment Ammon and Ryan Bundy were thrown in the hole at the Southern Nevada Detention Center the other day.
Activist Gavin Seim put out a video Thursday night on his Facebook page saying the black female in charge of the facility is deliberately singling them out because she perceives media that was at the prison is ‘racist’.
He spoke of ‘insanity’ motivating her.
Perhaps part of the ‘mass insanity’ that has accompanied Trump’s election as POTUS.

He was killed by law enforcement minutes after telling officers repeatedly that they would have to shoot him. This was recorded on video by one of the passengers in his truck.
Wonder if Wesley Clarke’s son will be organizing people to help the Bundys as he did in the Standing Rock riots. Probably not because the Bundys are White.
This is just freakin stupid beyond belief. Just as in Waco, the ferrules had many opportunities to snatch up the Davidian leader in town w/o violence...but hell no. Those boyz with their toyz gotta go out and show’em who’z boss.
Well, there too, they got their @$$e$ handed to them early on and it pissed’em off. So, they come back with military hardware and burn the place to the ground. Oh, did I mention, murdering woman and children?
Folks came to support the Bundy’s at the corral cause they're just sick of the ferrule over reach into their lives. Just let these folks go back to their families and stop all this nonsense. They didn't conspire until you raised their ire.

Yes, I am also looking forward to Trump’s position on this matter, as well as what’s going on at Standing Rock in ND.
If he can successfully gut the fed gov of most of it’s leftist agency administrators, there could be some real changes.
They didn’t have to shoot him but their attitude is that if they feel threatened, shoot to kill.
In Georgia yesterday, a grand jury declined to indict a cop who went to the wrong house and killed someone there.

This is where we are in this country; proclaim yourself a sanctuary city, you have noble views and are a hero for standing up to the man. Refuse on religious grounds to sign a marriage license for a gay couple and a federal judge will throw your ass in jail.
Stop a private company from building a perfectly legal pipeline using violence and intimidation, the government will force the company to stop construction; occupy a vacant federal building in peaceful protest against the government and the government will ambush you on the side of the road, kill those they can get away with, and prosecute the rest to the fullest extent of the law.
I kinda agree....I don’t think it serves Trump’s public stance to get involved in this. Now, that said...he could ensure the weakest prosecutor of the Justice Department is chosen to prosecute all three cases.
How and WHY should lands be “returned” to the states that they NEVER had in the first place? This ‘return to the states’ is based on the false idea that these lands originally belonged to the states. They never did. And to give them to the states, no way! And if you read about Trump and his and family comments during the elections, it won’t happen. He will protect these federal PUBLIC lands just as do other presidents. Heck, in the news this week we even see mention that he might be more in the mode of Teddy Roosevelt than others on this very topic. Good and really great for us! Go Trump!
