Thank you for those pictures
My question is, “are they willing to bleed for it?” The men that the cross was built to honor bled. Si if it upsets them so much, are they willing to bleed for it?
If it offends them, they don’t have to look at it.
Just stand in front of the statue with a shotgun and say, “no” to the libtards.
“Just tell them it is modern art.”
Nah! Just tell them it’s historical! Today, Modern Art can be a booger with a hair in it!
Thank you. I misread the article. My ire should have been directed at the AHA instead.
How do they even have standing if it’s on private land? The judge should dismiss with prejudice and turn around and bankrupt those douchebags.
Nope, the LEFT and atheists have no appreciation for history beyond their narrow sliver. Knowledge of history provokes a sense of perspective and that is anathema to their fanaticism! FYI: extreme atheism like the 'American Humanists' is, potentially, just as fanatical as any religious fanatic.
I have two words for them, “F...Y..”!
It was built on private land but apparently is now on Maryland State-owned land as a permanent monument. There have been many humanists and atheists who have readily acknowledged that the Bible has wise and valuable sayings. The American Humanists might be wise to consider this one; "Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not" Jeremiah 5:21
That’s a very pretty Cross monument. Like the design of it.
Well, the radical left offends me. They should be removed.
Ameriphobes need to be exiled
Bladensburg. Where our boys defending DC from the advancing British in the war of 1812 turned and ran. The battle became known as the Bladensburg Races.
Also was the home of a bar called Crossroads where Buck Buchanan and his band played many a night.
The Peace Cross has been under assault many times. Hopefully it continues to stay where it is.
A private cross on private land paid for by private money is not subject to a legal challenge except maybe for zoning violations which this cross is grandfathered in.
Enough.
One of these moonbats is going to attack the memorial Cross with a hammer and get a tire tool across the back of his skull.
This has been going on for at least 20 years. We moved to Hyattsville, just up the road, then. It’s in a traffic circle, and so it offends every godless driver on the two main roads, Highway 1 and Annapolis Rd. It’s just a couple of blocks south of the Indian Queen Tavern (Geo Washington Inn), now some kind of park house or something.
Uh, the Becket fund are the good guys here.
The American Humanist Association wants the cross taken down.
What’s the closest pieces of private land to it?
Owners of those pieces of land ought to put up crosses on each piece.
