How do they even have standing if it’s on private land? The judge should dismiss with prejudice and turn around and bankrupt those douchebags.

Unfortunately, it stands on a tiny strip of grass surrounded on all sides by Bladensburg Road, so it’s very unlikely that it is on private land at this point in time.

When I was a kid in the early 1950s my recently married older brother lived east of that Cross and my parents and I lived on to the west of it. The land and the road back then were often flooded by a nearby branch of the Anacostia River. People wanting to get from one side to the other would cross the flooded area in row boats.
