An openly homosexual elected official in Connecticut is threatening to strip the American Family Association (AFA) of its status as a charity to which state employees may donate via payroll deduction because he considers the groups traditional Christian positions discriminatory.
Connecticut State Comptroller Kevin Lembo (D), shown, the first openly gay man elected to statewide office in the Nutmeg State, is married to Charles Frey; the two men have adopted and reared three children. Naturally, Lembo is not particularly fond of the AFAs opposition to the homosexual agenda and its defense of traditional marriage. On November 30, he sent a two-page letter to AFA president Tim Wildmon announcing that he was initiating an investigation to determine whether AFA is in compliance with the requirements of the Connecticut State Employee Campaign for Charitable Giving (CSEC), a program that allows state employees to contribute to nonprofit charities via payroll deduction.

I agree! I never understand why in this situation the Christian group does not counter with a discrimination complaint of its own. Do they not understand that Christians can also be discriminated against? Why do we just sit there and take it? We need to stand up and start complaining for being discriminated against.
That struck me as awkward wording as well...

The only 2 charitable organizations I will donate to are Wounded Warriors and the Salvation Army.
All the rest are run by QUEERS and CROOKS.
Christian groups - indeed all conservative groups - hate controversy. We’ve gotten that “turn the other cheek” down so well it’s now a second nature. We’re the good guys, they (the liberals) are the ones with the black hats and we don’t want to be anything like them, do we?
Maybe, as I’ve read in another comment here, we DO need another crusade. I doubt tar and feathers would be sufficient to end this attack on decency. Our usual reply to attack is to talk nice so we won’t make them angry. Actually, our response should be to counterattack and punish them until they’re unable (or unwilling) to initiate war again. As a case in point, neither the Japanese or German governments have indicated a desire to make war against us since 1945. Like most here, I would rather NOT kill people like we did in that war but if someone is to die, I’d rather it was those who make war against us instead of us, our children and our grandchildren.
The same goes for those among us who work to destroy our way of life. That would merely be the beginning of a series of physical attacks on our homes, our jobs and - inevitably - our persons.

Note that the states have never amended the Constitution to expressly protect so-called LGBT rights like they did with the rights expressly protected by the Bill of Rights for example. So low-information, pro-LGBT agenda state officials are unthinkingly using constitutionally unprotected, politically correct gay rights to trump constitutionally enumerated rights, the 1st Amendment-protected rights of religious expression and free speech in these examples.
Citizens with religious convictions should note the following regarding their 14th Amendment protections. Acts 22:23-30 shows that Paul claimed his rights as a Roman citizen to save himself from being flogged.
