Missing from the list (and one of my personal favorites). In Harm's Way. Great cast and script all around. Given the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor and Douglas' 100th birthday I had to rewatch this recently.

You might enjoy “The Final Countdown” where he plays the commander of the USS Nimitz - the ship gets caught in a time warp and ends up in Dec 7th, 1941.

I watch In Harm's Way at least a couple of times a year, whenever I'm in a "Navy" mood. Outstanding movie, surprisingly follows closely to the book, managing to hold it all together with great actors.

From that movie, Patricia Neal became one of my great teenage crushes. I don't know what it was about that movie .. especially because of the age difference that would have existed .. but she (and Rosemary Clooney from White Christmas) became my female ideals.
