‘Something for the media to go nuts over...and over...and over....’

_____________________________________

You are so right.... it is going to be a long four years.

I can’t find a link, but I remember reading here that the Founders had business interests as well.

How would they have gotten where they were without their enterprises?

I wouldn’t expect a dirt farmer (with all due respect) to attain a position to write and sign the Declaration of Independence, etc.

They were men of means, I believe (please correct me if I’m wrong).

And isn’t this America? Isn’t entrepreneurship celebrated?

Let’s look into the business interests (foundations, etc.) of Obama, the Clintons, etc.....

Not expecting an answer, but why doesn’t the MSM investigate that?

At least Trump came by his money honestly.

Of course...they were chiefly merchants. Washington had a still, an interest in a canal that would benefit him directly....and then there was his farm....with all the slaves.

Jefferson was a Planter for life. But by the time of the Revolution he was a retired attorney, who had accrued some wealth, and had held local and State offices in VA.

Washington would go out in the field and time the slaves while doing a task.

Washington and Jefferson didn't give up their plantations, nor the money that was coming in, nor put them in "trusts", when they were presidents.

All of the early presidents, until Andy Jackson, were indeed wealthy men.
